If you run a wine shop

What to do with it

  1. Move a Provence rosé in the £10–15 band, such as Chateau Routas at £13.20, to the front of the wine shop this week.
  2. Put a New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc at £15–20 at eye level, with one from the £10–15 band beside it.
  3. Add a Grenache or Rhône blend at £10–15 to the red shelf, the band where Cabalié 2025 sells at £13.49 online.
  4. Open a Chardonnay from the £15–20 band for an in-store tasting this weekend to bring back buyers now picking it up at the supermarket.

How we count

Many wine sellers show how many bottles they have left. We read those public numbers several times a day and add up every fall between two reads. Rises are restocks and are ignored. A single fall that is too big to be shoppers (a stock move, a trade order or a site reset) is left out: 79 this time.

The biggest online seller updates its stock overnight, and much of what leaves goes out in mixed cases to its club members. The supermarket wine shop is read twice a day. The 21 independents are shops across the UK whose sites show stock counts. Styles come from each seller's own grape and colour labels. Prices are each seller's shelf price.

We read only public pages, follow each site's robots.txt and never log in. Sellers are not named. Ziild is not affiliated with any of them.
